Norte de Argentina
Pucara de Tilcara, is a restored site just north of Purmamarca, Argentina. The restoration is beautiful, the restorers have been quite liberal with their interpretation of what the sight actually looked like. The structures are stone with cactus beams supporting the roof.
Not a Kat sized space!
Driving south from Salta towards Cafayate on RT68 is incredibly gorgeous. I felt like I was driving through Southwest Utah, only half way around the world.
We went to a Goat cheese tasting in Cafayate, the tasting included a tour of the farm.
Cafayate is wine country, we were lucky enough to have friends around the same time we were there. Ike and Bethany, whom we met in Guatemala, as well as Kevin and Emma who travelled from Australia in their right hand drive Nissan Patrol. It was a great couple days to relax and enjoy some vino.
